The parent company and manufacturer of Bentley Organic has been honoured with the Queens Award for Enterprise.
Stephenson Group Ltd, with manufacturing plants in Leeds and Bradford employing over 100 people currently export over 80% of its total production, while export earnings have increased by more than £5m over three years. The personal care division, Stephenson Personal Care is responsible for creating Bentley Organic, which has played a key role in the Group’s recent successes after hitting the shelves of Asda in May 2007.
This is the second time The Stephenson Group will receive the Queen’s Award following its first award in 2000. Jamie Bentley founder of Bentley Organic and CEO of The Stephenson Group Ltd comments:

Bradford based Bentley Organic to sponsor MS fundraising marathon in the Amazon Jungle.
LEEDS (29.09.06) - Bentley Organic, producers of a range of organic personal hygiene products that are Soil Association Certified providing an environmentally sustainable choice, are sponsoring Josh Whitehead in the 2006 Jungle Marathon, to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis organisation Flicker.MS.
From October 9th to 15th, Josh Whitehead, a 30 year old primary school teacher from Harrogate, will run a total of 200km (125 miles) through the Amazon Jungle in Brazil. During those six days Josh will run a distance covering five marathons while carrying his food and provisions for the race and he will be posting regular updates on his progress on www.flicker.ms throughout the stages of the race.
Nights will be spent sleeping in hammocks at campsites deep in the jungle and along with enduring treacherous terrain, steep elevation and humidity, Josh will also have to watch for hazards such as mosquitos, ants, snakes, sting rays, scorpions, caimans, jaguars and wild pigs.
Commenting on the race Josh said, “This is the very first fundraiser for Flicker.MS and I’m hoping that by putting myself through one of the toughest endurance events there is, I can help spread the word about Flicker.MS and help raise awareness of Multiple Sclerosis among young people.”
Flicker.MS is a web-based resource aimed at raising awareness of Multiple Sclerosis among 18-35 year olds. As primary sponsor of the event, Bentley Organic CEO Jamie Bentley comments: “Bentley Organic proudly sponsors Flicker.MS and Josh in The Jungle 2006 as part of the company's commitment to supporting local charity and interesting projects with vision that benefit the wider community.
